Pulled pork dinner Pulled pork with Honey BBQ: very dry and chewy, not a ton of standout flavor outside the bbq sauce, bbq sauce itself isn’t bad Pit beans: the hottest item on my plate and very flavorful. Nice little kick in it. Garlic mashed potatoes: also dry but there is some flavor, would be good with some kind of gravy on the side, pairs well with the bbq though. Texas toast: usually when I get it from other joints it is well buttered and has a nice flavor to it. This one is on the smaller side and has nothing on it at all. Sweet tea: perfectly sweetened Food was mediocre and my tummy is a little upset now but the service was good and they gave a military discount which is a plus!

Layover in Rawlins as we traveled West and decided to give this place a try. As others mentioned they have limited staff, but, the waitress on duty was on point and hopping... She was awesome, attentive, and moving! Overall the meals were ok, some better than others... My burger was just a bit better than average, the salmon was on point, the chicken sandwich went over well and our mixed appetizer was pretty darn good too. We'd likely come back again if we didn't live many states away.

Great little place for lunch! We were sad to see that Bucks closed so we stopped at Cactus Jacks. We were promptly greeted and our waitress got our drinks and our order. She recommended the BBQ pork sandwich which was pretty good. I loved the potato salad and was glad it wasnt overly vinegary. The chicken fried chicken was well seasoned and took up almost the whole plate! I would definitely stop by again next time we drive through town.
